Project Name: PMG Gallery

Our engagement with the project began with careful selection of an ideal site for this ambitious project. A rigorous search led us to a derelict factory in the middle of the city, in a rapidly transforming old industrial area. Finally, the two storied abandoned factory emerged as the perfect canvas, with lofty ceiling large column spacings. 
Responding to the surging demands of our growing market, the client wanted to create a comprehensive resource hub of building finish material tailored to cater to designers, architects, builders, and discerning private clientele. Going out of the usual practice of stuffing the whole out let with random materials, we wanted it to be a gallery, a studio where creative mind can make his decision, can mix and match from a preselected handpicked collection from various part of the world.
The whole shell of the lofty industrial structure mostly in neutral color was used as a back drop for the product. Things are minimalistic, subtle, sophisticated. Designed and made with maximum attention to detail. 
Transformation of the old structure was an intricate process that required the removal of some old walls, retrofitting of columns and other structural elements and the reintegration of vertical circulation systems with a new stair case and a lift. A harmonious fusion of the preexisting structural elements, which gracefully curated interior space was achieved where distinct zones in Black, White and Grey flows into each other on the both sides of central spine that leads to the formal meeting room. The mood of the space offers one to relax and concentrate, to think and visualize, to create.
