“Goni Mollah Jame Mosque” is devoted to allah by Dr.Mollah Ershadul Haque keeping in mind the memory of sudden death of his younger son RUMI Who was died at the age of 15. The mosque was constructed in a rural area of Shibpur named “Shatpara” village of Norshinghdi .The site is surrounded by paddy field and a lot of vegetation. Considering the context and the simplicity of rural community, the mosque was designed in a simple way “Like a mosque what it should be and whatever rural people imagine a mosque as to be “. With all the common features of a mosque like dome, some open space in front of the mosque, a minaret, the openings and above all the openness of prayer space .A large lofty shaded semi open space allow community people to visit as a gathering space and over hanging continuous roof create some sort of shading to the large opening at north and south side which ensure well natural lighting and ventilation. Last of all it is a mosque with all the common feature considering the context of the rural area of Shatpara, Shibpur, Norshingdhi.
